One person is dead and two others are currently feared missing, after a boat sank in the English channel off the coast of Brighton this morning.
It is thought the boat sank when it collided with another.
One person has now been rescued – a 45 year old man from London – and is now in hospital. A major search is underway to find the other two men with lifeboats from Brighton and Shoreham, and two coastguard helicopters.
Other boats in the area are also helping with the operation.
“The information we have received says there are potentially three others who are in the water,” said Andy Jenkins, controller with the UK Coastguard, according to ITV. “We are carrying out an extensive search for them.”
